hard |
ambrosial
i am woman child
belly of life
naked with desire
drunk on pleasure
throb poetry
breathe fire
we bleed soul
down
here
gone |
score the knife against the stone,
she said.
i would.
we are all just star maps, she said.
playing follow the leader.
drawing lines from one rusty wheel
to another,
trying to atone.
her thigh became the stone.
i never knew,
she said,
as aubergine pools drew tiny crescents
in the leaves.
