Suspiria Speaks
What I hope his last words are,
uttered as he lays on death’s bed,
parchment pale:
My daughter, firstborn—
my sin.
She’s the curse
I doused upon the world.
He will fade away,
his face to the sun.
The only thing left—
guilt
a cold hard stone
which doesn’t exist.
